Trivia: Did you know? That the first example of dental work was 14,000 years ago?

The History of Dentistry

In 1988, the skeleton of a 25-year-old man was found in Northern Italy. It was found that the ancient skeleton had a rotten molar, showing signs of chipping and drilling. This evidence demonstrates how people back then dealt with tooth decay.

Due to the fact that anesthesia wouldn’t be invented for another 14,000 years, this treatment was probably, incredibly painful.

Since then, dentistry has evolved and modern treatments are more safe and more effective.
